AspenPointe Café will open September 29

AspenPointe Café, 5069 N. Academy Blvd., is to have its grand opening Sept. 29. According to Kevin Porter, director of public affairs for AspenPointe, “Our café is what’s called a Social Enterprise and employs our disadvantaged and disenfranchised clients.”
AspenPointe is the name for several organization in town that provide services such as mental health and substance abuse treatment, education and life skills training and jail diversion and reintegration programs.
The eatery is in the former Mama Trino’s Pizzeria spot. The executive chef is Brandon Benjegerdes.
