Epic line up at Territory Days this weekend!
Pro Promotions, Inc, and the Old Colorado City Associates Ltd, are proud to announce the return of Colorado Springs largest and longest standing street festival, the 35th annual Territory Days celebration Memorial Day weekend in Old Colorado City.
Attendees are encouraged to ride the FREE SHUTTLE from Coronado High School running every 15 minutes to avoid parking hassles. There will be a FREE bicycle valet courtesy of CS West Bikes as well!
Features
The historic district on Colorado Avenue between 23rd Street and 27th Street will come alive with live music, food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. One of the state’s largest craft vendor fairs is highlighted with features including pony rides, kids play area, petting zoo, mechanical bull, Cowboy Church Service, toy train rides, gold panning, wild west gunfight re-enactments, live blacksmithing, period costumed characters, live birds of prey, native American dancers, quick draw competition, and two beer gardens with live music running all three days.
Live Music
The Territory Days free concert series is headlined this year by country music recording artists Steve Azar, Bomshel, and The Jane Dear Girls. Other acts include award winning Native American musician Arvel Bird, Brothers of the Son, the Jake Loggins Band, Inka Gold, 6035, The Black Rose Band, Sandy Wells, N Tha Mixx, Gypsy Smoke, Skanson and Hansen, the Cari Dell Trio, Zen Theory, and the Lethal Lisa McCall Band.
History
Territory Days was created in 1976, coinciding with Colorado’s Centennial and America’s Bicentennial celebrations, to commemorate Old Colorado City being the first territorial capital of the region. It began as a small neighborhood craft fair and has grown into a three-day street festival, which today hosts 200 food, craft, and commercial vendors and has approximately 140,000 attendees from across the country.
Memorial Day Observance
In observance of the “National Moment of Remembrance”, Please join us in Bancroft Park on Monday, May 31st at 3 p.m. as we gather to remember our nation’s fallen Heroes, and pay respect to those who have sacrificed their Freedom and their Lives so that we may enjoy our own as citizens of the GREATEST Country in the World.
