Craig Eliot

Meteorologist Eliot leaving
'News 5 Today'

THE GAZETTE

“News 5 Today” will have a new meteorologist on weekday mornings beginning March 18,
KOAA said Thursday.

After 18 years, News 5 meteorologist Craig Eliot is leaving the station to pursue a new venture outside of broadcasting.

He has been on the morning show since December 1995. Eliot plans to go to work in the financial industry as an adviser for Morgan Stanley.

Eliot's move isn't the first high-profile departure from KOAA's morning show.

A littel more than a year ago, news anchor Georgiann Lymberopoulos left the NBC affiliate after about 17 years.

Meteorologist Stephen Bowers will take over the morning weather anchor role.
