TERRY'S PICK: 'A Christmas Story'
What makes the film “A Christmas Story” so memorable are all the classic pop culture moments it contains. Ralphie’s unwavering desire for a Red Ryder BB gun, the craziness of the triple dog dare and the disappointment of the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin are all things adults of a wide age range can relate to. But while TV viewers are sure to be deluged with another TBS marathon of this timeless classic, what I’m most excited about this holiday is seeing the live theatrical version of “A Christmas Story” at the Fine Arts Center. I want to see bully Scut Farkas get his comeuppance up close and in person. Maybe I'll even leave with a major award. See it 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Fridays, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays, running Nov. 29-Dec. 23 at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, 30 W. Dale St. Details: $18-$37; 634-5583, csfineartscenter.org.
