During a Jan. 25 press conference at Fire Station 18 in Mountain Shadows, Pikes Peak Firefighters Association Fire Rehab Unit received $15,000 for support work during the Waldo Canyon Wildfire.
The unit, which supports firefighters in the field with hydration, food, shelter and other needs, lost a truck during the rapidly moving wildfire.
Representatives of Sinise, who spoke to the group via video, said there are potential plans for a May golf tournament and concert by Sinise's Lt. Dan Band, to raise funds for first responders.
