All the classics are here: Red beans and rice, shrimp étouffée, and po’ boys piled high. But the Cajun flair here also comes in creative packages. The blue lump crab cakes are served deconstructed, a splash of beurre blanc surrounding a rich brioche, next to a column of meaty chunks of blue crab. The tall, colorful ensemble tastes as good as it looks. Don’t end your meal without sharing an order of the fried beignets buried in melting powdered sugar. They are as good as any you’ll find in New Orleans.
