AROUND TOWN: The Air Force Ball
Broadmoor Hall was awash in red, white and blue — lots of blue — as the elegant black tie/mess dress Air Force Ball drew a record crowd on Feb. 15.
The Air Force Association Lance P. Sijan Chapter 125 was host to 870 military and friends of the military.
Air Force Ball chairman Hank Scarangella said what helped make the evening such a success was “the diversity, the wide range of military” enjoying dinner, dancing and entertainment by the Air Force’s Tops in Blue.
Sharing the fun, guests ranged from a four-star general to cadets with the Mitchell High School Honor Guard, and included most every rank in between.
“We have had very positive comments about the evening,” Scarangella said of the event, which drew active and retired Air Force from all along the Front Range.
