Celebrity landscaper to visit Springs on Saturday

Landscaper Ahmed Hassan, best known as the host of HGTV and DIY Network’s “Yard Crashers,” will be at the 2012 Colorado Springs Home & Landscaping Show being held this weekend (1/27/12 – 1/29/12).
An expert on landscaping and yard design, Hassan will be at the Colorado Springs Event Center (3960 Palmer Park Blvd) from 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m. this Saturday, available to share tips and trends as well as meet-and-greet show guests and visitors.
Since 2008 the “Yard Crashers” host and his team have surprised families with customized residential landscapes and upgraded homes. Hassan has made several other TV appearances as well. Last year, he co-hosted HGTV’s live coverage of the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade and he is a former guest contributor of the CBS Early Show and NBC’s Today Show.
“I’m looking forward to visiting Colorado Springs,” said Hassan in a press release sent to The Gazette. “Elevation and semi-arid climates can pose a challenge to landscaping enthusiasts. I’m bringing a few tips and tricks to take the work out of landscaping and make it more fun and enjoyable.”
