Local film director wants you... to help make his movie
You’ve seen the trailer. You follow the blog. Now it’s time to get involved with the biggest film to be made in Colorado Springs in years.
The movie is Creep!, Pete Schuermann’s documentary about the making of the REAL worst movie of all time, The Creeping Terror. He and producer Nancy Theken have already snagged some major interviews, including film critic Michael Medved and four-time Oscar-winning special effects artist Richard Edlund (Star Wars).
Now they need to raise another $300,000 to finish the movie. For the film, Schuermann plans to recreate many of the notorious backstage activities of The Creeping Terror director Art J. Nelson, a psychotic drug addict who scammed hundreds of victims to make his movie about a carpet-like monster from outer space who devours the entire population of a teenage prom. Many of these scenes will be filmed right here in the the Pikes Peak region.
But Schuermann and Theken are not just looking for investors. They’re also looking for cast, crew, fans–anyone who has an interest in learning more about the film and the opportunities it will provide.
“It will be a wholly entertaining event that will give you a firsthand peek into the filmmaking process,” Schuermann says. “You will learn exactly what it takes to take a feature film from inception to film festivals and to eventual distribution. You will also find out how you can get involved in the process and become a participant in the movie.”
The event, which will also include clips from The Creeping Terror, is free and open to the public. All they ask is that you RSVP by September 25. To RSVP, you can call Pete at 719-459-0967 or email him at pete@monsterzerocreative.com.
And you might want to call soon. A one-of-a-kind event like this is sure to fill up fast.
