New opera season means live Met performances on local screens
The Met broadcasts its operas live in high definition
The Metropolitan Opera announced its 2009-2010 season for its series of performances to be shown on big screens throughout the country.
Last season, Cinemark Carefree Circle, Tinseltown, and Hollywood Theaters presented the operas on Saturdays and encores on Wednesdays.
The Met broadcasts its operas live in high definition. Advance tickets are now available.
Next season marks the opera company’s 125th anniversary. The Met is based in New York.
